How to Set Up RingPay with Curve

What is Curve?
Curve is a free app that brings your bank cards together in one place. Instead of linking your bank card to RingPay directly, you link it to Curve, and then link Curve to your ring.
When you tap to pay, the payment goes through Curve to the bank card you’ve chosen. You keep your bank account, your card and your existing banking app, and nothing changes with your bank.

FAQs
Is Curve free?
Yes, you can sign up to Curve’s standard plan for free.
Some features, like spending in foreign currencies, may have limits or fees on the free plan.
Is Curve safe?
Curve is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority as an e-money institution. Your card details are protected in the Curve app, and your real card number is never stored on your RingPay ring or shared when you pay.
Do I need to change banks?
No. You keep your bank account, your card and your banking app. Curve sits between your card and your ring, and nothing changes with your bank.
How will payments show on my bank statement?
Payments usually show with “Curve” before the shop’s name, for example “CRV*Coffee Shop.” You’ll also see every payment in the Curve app.
Can I use a credit card through Curve?
Yes. You can add Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards to Curve. Some card providers may treat Curve payments differently, so check with your card provider if you’re unsure.
Can I change which card my ring uses?
Yes. Choose a different card in the Curve app at any time, and your next payment will be charged to that card. You don’t need to change anything in the RingPay app.
What if I lose my ring?
Pause or deactivate your ring straight away in the RingPay app. You can also lock your Curve card in the Curve app for extra peace of mind.
