A Little Independence

Lunch, the bus home, a snack after practice: they can pay for it themselves with a tap of the wrist. Because it’s linked to their own bank card, you keep the oversight.

Safe If It Goes Missing

Their card number is never stored on the band. If it’s left on a school bench, you can pause it instantly in the RingPay app so nobody else can use it.

FAQs

How does the band work without a battery?

The band has a secure payment chip inside that’s powered by the payment terminal when your child taps. There’s no battery, so it never needs charging and there’s nothing to run flat on the way to school.

Is the band waterproof?

Yes. The band is fully waterproof, so it’s fine for hand-washing, swimming lessons, rainy walks home and splashing about. There’s no need to take it off.

What size is the band?

The band has an adjustable strap, so one size fits most children’s wrists – no measuring needed.

Is it safe for my child to use?

Yes. Your child’s card number is never stored on the band. Each payment uses a secure token instead, through Fidesmo Pay. If the band is lost, you can pause it straight away in the RingPay app so no one else can use it.

Which cards and banks are supported?

The band works with Visa and Mastercard cards from many banks, including junior and prepaid cards from supported providers.

To check what banks are supported by our payment rings please visit our Supported Banks page.

I've lost my band - what do I do now?

Pause it in the RingPay app as soon as you notice it’s missing:

- Open the RingPay app.
- Tap the band.
- Tap “Pause Card”.

This stops payments on the band only. The bank card itself keeps working as normal, and you can unpause the band if it turns up.

How do I set up my payment wearable?

Setting up your wearable is easy and should only take a few minutes!

You can find a handy guide for how to do this here.

Can I set a spending limit?

Spending limits come from the card the band is linked to. Many junior and prepaid cards let parents set limits or top up a set amount, which is a simple way to keep spending in check.
