RingPay and the Future of Inclusive Finance
The way we pay for everyday goods and services has changed dramatically. From contactless cards to wearable tech, modern payment solutions offer speed and convenience—but not always for everyone.
At RingPay, we believe that true innovation must be inclusive. That means designing financial tools that serve all people, especially those who are often left out of traditional systems. We’re not just keeping pace with change—we’re driving it forward with purpose.
Where It All Began
RingPay was developed by Money Carer, the UK’s leading provider of money management and banking services for vulnerable individuals. For over 16 years, we’ve helped people with physical disabilities, cognitive impairments, and mental health conditions manage their everyday finances with dignity, security, and independence.
Our award-winning banking and payments platform, Monika, is trusted by hundreds of law firms, care providers, local authorities and the NHS. Last year alone, Monika processed over £500 million in transactions—demonstrating the scale and impact of our mission.
Why Inclusive Finance Matters
For many people, using a standard debit card is second nature. But for someone with mobility challenges, memory loss, or difficulty handling small objects, a simple payment can become a daily obstacle. That’s where RingPay’s wearable technology—rings, bracelets, and keyrings—comes in.
By offering contactless, easy-to-use payment solutions, RingPay helps remove barriers and promotes greater independence. Whether it’s tapping a ring on a payment terminal or using a discreet bracelet to buy groceries, we’re making it easier for people to stay in control of their own money.
More Than a Product—A Movement
What began as a tool for our most vulnerable clients quickly grew into something bigger. The response to our wearable devices was overwhelmingly positive—not just from care providers and families, but from everyday people looking for smarter, more stylish ways to pay. This led us to create RingPay.com, a dedicated space where anyone can purchase and use our devices.
Our mission hasn't changed—we're still committed to empowering vulnerable individuals—but we’re also proving that inclusive design benefits everyone.
Looking Ahead
The future of finance isn’t just digital—it’s inclusive, human-centered, and adaptable. At RingPay, we're proud to be at the forefront of this movement, blending cutting-edge technology with deep social impact.
Because when everyone can pay easily, everyone can participate fully.
